Big Agnes Unveils the Seven Lakes

A Versatile, Storm-Worthy Essential for the Modern Backpacker

Steamboat Springs, Colorado – Big Agnes, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, is proud to announce the launch of the Seven Lakes series for MY27. Designed as a three-season, freestanding backpacking tent, the Seven Lakes is engineered to balance simplicity with rugged durability. Whether travelers are close to home or far afoot, this series is built to meet them wherever their feet take them.

Sleeping In The Dirt

The Seven Lakes series is constructed with a high-performance HyperBead™ 20D polyester ripstop rainfly featuring a 1500mm waterproof rating. To ensure maximum protection from ground moisture and saturated campsites, Big Agnes has equipped the series with an exceptionally durable 75D polyester taffeta floor boasting a 3000mm waterproof rating. Notably, the entire construction is produced without intentionally added PFAS, aligning with modern environmental standards.

User-Centric Design & Easy Setup

At the heart of the Seven Lakes is a "Mother of Comfort" floor plan designed to accommodate a wide range of sleeping pads. The tent’s architecture utilizes a DAC Featherlite NFL cross-pole design that maximizes internal volume and ensures a dry entry during inclement weather.

For effortless assembly, the series features the proprietary TipLok Tent Buckle™. This multi-functional component streamlines setup by combining three critical functions:

  • Secure pole-tip capture
  • Rainfly attachment and tensioning
  • Integrated stake-out loops

Maximum Accessibility

Understanding the needs of backcountry partners, the Seven Lakes features two side doors and two dedicated vestibules. This dual-entry configuration allows each camper their own space for gear storage and easy exit/entry without disturbing their partner.
